Sea-Spa Tea Table #1
As mentioned before, I do not take great photographs. Nor do I live with anyone who does. But we did snap a few.
Sea-Spa Tea Table #2
We used one three-tiered server for five women. This ended up crowding the plates too much. I wish I had used two. Hence, the sandwiches filled the bottom two layers and the scones the third. We never captured the desserts on film, unfortunately. When one tier was empty, we would swap it out and replace it with another filled plate.
My kitchen help placing the edible flowers on top of the open-faced cucumber sandwiches.
My darling servers who kept the iced tea flowing and cleared plates in a timely fashion.
In case you are new to Tea Party Girl, here’s a list of the articles that explain planning this tea from beginning to end:
So what stands out to you from these pictures? Positive and negative comments welcomed!
Everything looks lovely and I’m sure it all tasted delicious as well. Are you relieved that it is over or are you already planning your next event?
Everything looks so pretty and inviting!!
The flowers and other table decorations are lovely. That lime green teacup really stands out for me.. I love that color. ๐
Thanks, everyone!
Lara, I’m not sure yet! I’m so relieved it went so well. It really does get easier with practice and experience. Yes, honestly, I’m thinking about a tea for when the weather changes and for the holidays…we’ll see! I start a Tea and Etiquette class for junior and senior high-schoolers next month, so I’ll be focused on that, too.
Everything looks wonderful…I bet everyone had a lovely time amidst all that beauty! And you had servers too – how “high class”. ๐
Have you considered using the server itself as the “centerpiece”, with flowers wound through, around and under it? That leaves a bit more room on all sides for people reaching for goodies, and you could have used a separate server for the smaller table as well, so those people wouldn’t have to come to the “big table” for thier things.
That’s really my only other comment – I’m sure everything was just wonderful as is too. ๐
Congratulations – this looks like so much FUN! And you had such amazing help!
BTW- I’ve just updated my blog template and put you at the top of my “Other Tea Blogs” list!
Stephanie
Ditto to all the comments, lovely and memorable for one and all, thanks for sharing with all of us!
Jamie, using the three-tier for a centerpiece IS a good idea. Just to clarify, there were two tables of five women each~and they each had their own tiered-tray. No one had to get up and down for the food.
Thank you, Stephanie and Cathy!
It looks like the party went well. The food looks delicious & your servers – too cute. What did the guests of honor think of their wonderful gifts?
They loved their gifts. It continues to amaze me how many hard-working moms don’t have pampering themselves anywhere on their radar screen. It’s such a thrill to offer a glass of water to the thirsty.
Beautiful! Congratulations!
